A day with Maëliss

A day in my skin

I start my day off on a high note with a premium guided tour at the Caves du Louvre, I love immersing myself in the history of this magical place, especially with a wine tasting. Afterwards, I go get something to have a picnic at the Fromagerie du Louvre just next door, then I go to the Square du Vert-Galant to enjoy my discoveries. On the way, I pass by the Flower Market, the story of strolling. Just next door you will find Sainte-Chapelle, a place of incredible beauty with its stained glass windows that is really worth a visit.

In the afternoon, I continue my stroll through the streets of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. If I feel like it, I stay in an art gallery, there are some everywhere in the neighborhood and especially on Rue de Seine. I also take the opportunity to window shop at Le Bon Marché. My favorite break is at the Catherine Labouré Garden, which I love for its calm.

For sculpture lovers, I recommend a stop at the Rodin Museum or go directly up to the Champ de Mars to see the Eiffel Tower, which I love, but especially to go to the quays to finish the afternoon with a champagne cruise. I love to see all the monuments of Paris from the Seine, with a glass of bubbles in hand. After the cruise I advise you to reach the right bank by crossing the Debilly footbridge, a pedestrian bridge where the view of the Eiffel Tower is really nice. I then join my friends to enjoy one, or more, glasses of wine at Ô Chateau, the wine selection is really incredible

MY FAVORITE NEIGHBORHOOD

The great thing about the 11th is that it's far from being just a party district. For me who likes to go for a walk and find gems, this is the perfect place in Paris. While walking around, I love venturing into hidden places. I am a fan ofAtelier des Lumières, a former industrial site transformed into a digital art center, where paintings by great artists come alive with music on the walls.

There is also a museum that I love, it is the Edith Piaf Museum. It's hidden in a small apartment, Rue Oberkampf one of the liveliest in the neighborhood, always full of life with its bars and terraces. And in the midst of this excitement, you plunge into the life of La Môme, and you have the impression of being her guest.

But my ultimate pleasure is still to sit back and take advantage of the good addresses in the neighborhood. I love the atmosphere of the small restaurants and bistros that can be found everywhere on Rue de la Roquette and Rue de Charonne. It's where I like to sit down for a drink after a day at work. And if you pass by in the area, the City of Figuier is a detour worth a look, a quiet and flowery little alley that feels good.
